Overview
Overlooking mountains and sea, vineyards and agricultural terraces, forests and valleys, Abdelli is a small village breathing with thousands of years of culture and history. The grey stones of traditional Lebanese houses dot the scenery, reminiscent of a farming village abandoned during the First World War. Built almost a century later with the dream of reviving the village is Abdelli Terraces, hovering and peaking at the beaches of Batroun and the magnificent distances.
In detail
Building a family home would not have been as fulfilling as sharing the scenery and breeze with others, and this is why Abdelli Terraces slowly became an ambitious, innovative project, encompassing alternative accommodation, wine production, and culinary events. Three traditionally renovated houses and green lanes, trees and shaded patches, and all around, ancient agricultural terraces surviving a century of abandonment, Abdelli Terraces is faithful to Lebanese tradition and true to emerging, environmentally conscious ideologies and trends.
Meet your hosts
It was Nabil, a neurosurgeon with a love for nature and culture, who discovered the hidden beauties of Abdelli. With the ultimate goal of bringing the village back to life, reviving the vineyards, fusing the old with the new, and promoting sustainable development, he joined forces with his son Karim, an Investment Banker, and Jinan, Karim’s wife and a dermatologist.
